Emira works without an Emira account. Your Journal, goals, memories, photos, and other personal library content are not sent to a Foxmoss server.

How Emira handles your information
What Emira stores
Emira stores information you choose to enter or create, including your birth date and Life settings, goals, milestones, Journal entries and drawings, Time Capsules, personalization settings, and attached photos. By default, this information stays in the app's storage on your device. Foxmoss does not operate a server that receives your personal Emira library.
Optional iCloud Drive sync
If you turn on iCloud in Emira, the app can keep a private, versioned copy of your library in iCloud Drive under the Apple Account signed in on your device. This can include entries, settings, and attached photos so your own Apple devices can stay in step. iCloud is optional and does not require an Emira account. Turning sync off does not itself delete copies already stored in iCloud. Apple's handling of iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Photos and camera
Emira accesses photos or the camera when you choose an action that needs them. It does not open the camera in the background. Saved attachments can remain with the Emira content they belong to even if you later revoke photo-library permission. You can change camera and photo permissions in iOS Settings.
Optional Apple Health reminder timing
If you enable Health-based reminder timing, Emira can read sleep timing from Apple Health to place routine reminders at more useful local times. Health access is optional. If the information is unavailable or permission is not granted, Emira falls back to ordinary reminder timing. Emira does not write Health records. Raw Health samples are not added to your Emira library, backups, widgets, or iCloud library. You can revoke Health access through Apple's Health or privacy controls and can turn off routine timing or notifications in Emira.
Subscriptions and Apple payments
Emira is free to download. Eligible new subscribers may be offered a one-week free trial of Emira Annual. Apple handles subscription purchases, billing, eligibility, and payment details through the App Store. Emira uses verified StoreKit entitlement information to decide whether creating and editing content are available. Foxmoss does not receive your payment-card details.
When an active subscription is not present, previously saved content remains available to read and export, and ending a subscription does not delete your library. You can restore purchases and manage or cancel your subscription through Apple's supported purchase and subscription controls. Emira uses Apple's standard Terms of Use.
Notifications and ambient music
If you allow notifications, Emira schedules reminders and Time Capsule opening reminders locally on your device. Emira does not use a Foxmoss push-notification server or collect a device token for those reminders. Ambient music and game audio are playback features; using them does not create an Emira account or send listening history to Foxmoss.
No ads, tracking, or developer analytics
Emira does not show ads, sell personal information, use third-party advertising SDKs, or track you across apps and websites. Foxmoss does not receive the personal content you create in Emira through an analytics service.
Retention, deletion, backups, and your choices
Your content remains until you change, release, or erase it through the applicable Emira controls. If private iCloud sync is enabled, changes can also be reflected in the private iCloud library. Erasing local Emira data does not automatically erase independent exported backups, copies you shared elsewhere, or every existing private iCloud copy. A later deliberate recovery can restore content from a remaining backup or cloud library.
You can change app permissions in iOS or Health settings, disable optional iCloud sync or reminders, export your library, and use Emira's release or erase controls. Because Foxmoss does not hold your private Emira library on a developer server, Foxmoss cannot retrieve or remotely erase the device or private iCloud copy for you.
Support email and privacy questions
If you email emira.support@gmail.com, Foxmoss receives the message and any information or attachments you choose to include and uses them to respond. Please do not send private Journal or Health information unless you intend to share it. You can use the same address for privacy questions or requests concerning support correspondence.
Your controls
You can change your mind.
Photo, camera, Health, and notification permissions can be changed through Apple system controls. iCloud sync can be turned off in Emira. Subscription management belongs to your Apple Account. Those choices do not give Foxmoss access to the content of your private Emira library.
